There comes a time in every person's life when they must ultimately face the heartbreaking loss of someone they love.

For us, this really devastating time came with the death of our beloved eighteen year old nephew, Jonathan.  We were so grief stricken that for months, no one in our family smiled.  We searched desperately for some way to ease the pain.  We just wanted to keep Jonathan with us.  Eventually the idea of a bereavement locket came to us.

We had a round 'pocket locket' made that was approximately 1-1/2 inch in diameter.  This is big enough to hold 2 really nice sized round photos.  Then we adapted it to use as a charm on a heavy sterling bracelet.  We got so many compliments that we decided to offer it to others who were also grieving.

It was a way that we could carry Jonathan with us, not only in our hearts, but in the palm of our hand.  Just recently, another nephew, beautiful little Joey left us.  He was only thirty five days old.  But, in that brief time, he stole our hearts.

We were lucky enough to have some beautiful photos of our little angel and now Joey too is with us always.  Jonathan and Joey existed in our lives for a very short time, but they altered our world.  They haven't really left us, because love is eternal.  They are still living.  The only difference is where they can be found, and that is in our hearts.
